Mission Statement

"ANIMAL FRIENDS OF WASHINGTON COUNTY IS COMMITTED TO AID IN THE PREVENTION OF ANIMAL OVER-POPULATION; PROTECT WITH LOVING CARE THOSE ANIMALS THAT ARE ABUSED OR ABANDONED; AND PROVIDE AN ENVIRONMENT WHERE PEOPLE CAN ENJOY THEIR FURRY FRIENDS."

To facilitate our mission, Animal Friends has four goals:

  1. Provide a facility that will offer low-cost and no-cost spay/neuter and wellness. We have accomplished thiis mission through the Animal Friends Connie Clinic that opened in June 2008. (See Animal Friends Connie Clinic.)
  2. Provide a setting for people and their pets to play in a safe pleasant environment (See Animal Friends Park)
  3. Provide, in conjunction with local government, an adequate and attractive facility to house unwanted, abused and abandoned animals and to facilitate in the adoption of these animals.
  4. Serve as a resource, training and information center on all aspects of animal welfare.
