PAULA J. CIZIK. Treasurer. B.A. from Texas A&M University in Accounting. Received her CPA license in 1985. Initially practiced public accounting with Deloitte Haskins & Sells before moving into corporate banking in Dallas and Houston for 11 years. After years of volunteering, she started her own consulting company directed to not-for-profits in 1994 and ultimately became the Executive Director for a tutoring & mentoring program in Houston for 10 years (I Have a Dream – Houston). Reviving her consulting practice 5 years ago, she now is a business coach to other non-for-profit executives and manages financial matters for entrepreneurs and retired executives.

JANCY S. ERVIN. Jancy has a degree from the University of Texas where she studied Interior Design. She has served clients in the Greater Houston area and Washington County since 1997. Since moving her offices full time to her country ranch, she has served on many ranch house projects, helping clients combine a sophisticated palate with the comforts of the country.
MICHAEL G. FLENIKEN. Mike is President and majority owner of OGM Land Company, a land management corporation based in Simonton, Texas, with offices throughout the western Gulf coast. Through OGM, with its over 100 employees and many contractors, Mike has been instrumental in the successful completion of hundreds of oil and gas prospects, numerous acquisition/divestitures and over 2,000 square miles of seismic through the use of advanced data management and geographic modeling. A native of South Louisiana, he graduated from the University of Southwestern Louisiana in 1977. He is a certified professional landsman, and is an active member of the American Association of Professional Landmen, and several other Landmen Associations.
LYNNE L. HOLDER. Vice-President and Secretary. Graduated from the University of Texas with a B.A. in English literature, in 1978. Worked as a veterinary surgical assistant first year of college and for three summers. Received a J.D. from the University of Houston in 1981 and began practicing family law in Houston. Became Board Certified in family law in 1986. Moved to Washington County in 1996 and began practicing law in Washington and surrounding counties. Lynne is also a licensed falconer.
ANGELA T. KNAUSS. President. B.A. from the University of Vermont in Political Science and a J.D. degree from Vanderbilt Law School. Employed at The University of Chicago, The University of Vermont, and The University of Michigan in various administrative positions including medical and scientific project supervision, Administrator for the Faculty Senate (Michigan), Assistant, to the Vice President for Student Services (Michigan), Assistant to the Commissioner for Economic and Community Development (State of Tennessee), and Executive Director of the Search for the President of Educational Testing Services. Founded Animal Friends of Washington County in 2003.
ROBERT L. KNAUSS. Over the past thirty five years, Mr. Knauss has served as an Independent Director of nine public companies (traded on the NY Stock Exchange and NASDAQ). Currently he serves as non-executive Chairman and Director of Equus Total Return, and as an independent director of the Mexico Fund, XO Holdings, and WestPoint Home. He previously served as Professor of Law at the University of Michigan, Dean of Vanderbilt Law School and Dean and Distinguished Professor of the University of Houston Law Center. He holds a J.D. degree from the University of Michigan and A.B. from Harvard University
EDWIN S. SCHMID. Edwin Schmid was President of Germania Insurance Companies for 27 years and worked for the company for a total of 50 years. He was an officer of the Texas Association of Mutual Insurance Company and chairman of their legislative committee. He received the National Association of Mutual Insurance Merit Award in 1974 and their Service Award in 1995.
LESIA C. WASHMON. Ex officio A passion for animals led to the study and reading of a variety of animal books, and attending clinics and seminars primarily targeted to behavioral based training for dogs and horses. Professionally, she has worked at both large and small animal veterinary clinics, as well as having her own horse training business for several years. Managed horse programs for others being responsible for all horse care, wrangler for guest rides, carriage rides, planning and executing clinics, seminars and demonstrations. Participates in sheepdog trialing, agility & flyball and has taught obedience classes. Lesia is a certified small animal nutritionist and is very active in Border Collie Rescue. Prior to becoming Clinic Director in January 2011, she was the office manager for a Vintage Italian import company and for the last six years has served as CFO for a Five Star Relais & Chateau Luxury Ranch Resort.
