Dr. Sherrie
Veterinarian
Dr. Sherrie received her Bachelor’s degree in Veterinary Science from Texas A&M University. There, she also completed her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine. Upon graduation, Dr. Hartke completed a rotating internship at the Animal Medical Center in New York City. Dr. Hartke’s professional experience includes emergency medicine, general practice, clinical instruction of veterinary students in the art and science of anesthesia, and as an associate editor with the Veterinary Information Network. In her spare time, Dr. Hartke may be found training her cats Will Feral, Sprinkles, & Cannon to perform silly tricks, learning to make pottery, or hanging out with friends on Lake Conroe
Sonja
Clinic Manager
Sonja began her career as a Veterinary Technician in 1988. She moved to a ranch in Caldwell and added to her experience at Texas A&M as an Exotic Animal Technician. She subsequently worked in several veterinary emergency clinics in the Houston and surrounding areas during her 34 years as a technician. She managed a small animal clinic in Cypress Texas for 4 years and then joined Animal Friends in 2012. Sonja became the clinic manager in 2015.
Dr. Jazmine
Veterinarian
Dr. Pritchett graduated from the Tuskegee College of Veterinary Medicine in 2021 and has worked in emergency medicine with dogs, cats, and exotic animals. Her work experience includes Southeast Animal Emergency Clinic and her current employer, Violet Crown Veterinary Specialist.
Rachael
Veterinary Technician
Rachel is a Brenham High School graduate. She was a member of FFA, 4-H Horse Club and a Washington County Calf Scrambler winner. She attended the Texas Academy of Animal Control Officers and graduated Valedictorian. She joined Animal Friends as a Veterinary Technician in January 2009. Rachael has been a member of the Bellville Heritage Cowgirls for many years. She has several horses, dogs, cats and cattle. Her late father was a great inspiration for Rachael’s love of animals.
Heather
Veterinary Technician
Heather embarked on her professional journey as a veterinary technician back in 1995 while pursuing her college education in Florida. Relocating to Navasota, she established herself within the local veterinary community, contributing her expertise to numerous clinics in the vicinity. Prior to joining Animal Friends, Heather held a managerial role at a veterinary clinic in Waller, where she dedicated over three years to ensuring the well-being of both pets and their owners.
